Little Edwardian Ghost Boy –

I was inspired by another blogger to blog about my ghostly, spooky experiences…I had my first ghostly experience when I was 10 yrs old, but I thought I would pick one of the many experiences at random, otherwise I’m all over the place, then I give up…

The house we used to live in, was a 3.5 story maisonette built above a shop in the 19’s…I think that was about the most haunted place I have ever lived in…When we moved in, my youngest daughter was 6 years old. Her bedroom was down half a flight of stairs along a hall way. In the night we would be woken up to the sound of a young child screaming & running down the hall. We thought our daughter was having night terrors, when we got up to her, expecting her to be coming down the hall. There would be no one there, her bedroom door would be shut & she would be fast asleep. We never thought anything of it. Then one night it happened, we got up as usual, then remembered the kids were staying with my parents…

In the end we swapped bedrooms. The screaming child running down the hall stopped…but…Then for weeks I could hear a child screaming. I thought it was in the building next door & the child was on their own. I called the police, thinking a young child was left on their own. 5 police cars outside {Typical of Southend police, it seems} They could not find where a child was screaming…Ummm! No one else was complaining about a screaming child…My Mum & Dad spent the night in my room, the next morning my Mum was saying “There is a child in there on its own”. So I know¬†I was not crazy hearing this child…

In the end I had to sleep with ear plug’s, because it went on all night. It only dawned on me that I was maybe hearing the ghost child & not a neighbours child when I moved…I feel awful for not doing anything to help…Anyway…One evening I was sitting in the living room, watching tele, my feet up, lap top on my lap, when I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I looked round, a little boy was standing in the door way, peering round the door watching me. I watched him for about 10 seconds, then I smiled at him, he seemed to realise I could see him, then he faded away…

I saw him as clear as if a real child in Edwardian clothing was standing there, he had curly shoulder length hair, was a about 5-6 years old…dressed in dark clothes, a white collar…

I remember another time. I was in the kitchen, with my second daughter, we was putting the shopping away. I thought she was standing next to me, then she moved & I realised she was behind me. I said I’m sure someone was standing next to me, she said ‘Yes I saw someone too’. I think our little ghost boy used to like being with us, watching us. I hope nice people now live there, but the building is divided into flats now…

I will write about my other ghostly experiences soon…
